HOW TO EXERCISE WITH CHRONIC BACK PAIN

HOW TO EXERCISE WITH CHRONIC BACK PAIN

It’s a fact that exercise will ultimately assist in relieving back pain.   The question is – how to exercise when you are in so much pain?

You could start on low impact exercises to get you going slowly, but it’s still a painful process.

Or you could use Non Surgical Spinal Decompression (NSSD) to move your body for you.   Deep down where no therapist can get to and in a way that can’t be done by you or a doctor, in an axial direction.

Once your pain has been significantly reduced, you can introduce low impact exercises to start to build strength and to prevent pain returning.

By definition, exercise is different from movement and you need to start with movement before you can exercise.

Movement

an act of moving.

“a slight movement of the body”

Exercise

activity requiring physical effort, carried out to sustain or improve health and fitness.

“exercise improves your heart and lung power”

NSSD, in its simplest explanation, is gentle movement of the vertebra to relieve pressure and  encourage increased healing circulation. Movement to reduce pain so that you can start exercising.

By reversing the load on specific discs and treating the source that causes the pain, mobility can be improved.

At this point, once the pain has been reduced, low impact exercises can be introduced and the journey to being able to exercise and stay healthy begins.

Use NSSD to gently move your body for you, deep down where no therapist can get to.  Then, when pain is reduced, learn correct movements and exercises to build strength to prevent pain returning.

NON SURGICAL SPINAL CARE
OFFERS AN ALTERNATIVE TO SURGERY

Treatments are extremely gentle, non invasive and suitable for chronic conditions in the cervical (neck) and lumbar (lower back) regions of the spine.

Conditions most responsive are lower back and neck pain, sciatica, arm and/or leg pain caused by bulging discs, disc herniations and degenerative disc disease.

Taking the pressure of the discs and joints, through gentle and specifically targeted stretching of the spine, to reduce pain and improve mobility.
